It appears i found vodkaa posting under a different name on the official forums. Mages kicked from LFR because they've been nerfed so hard you might as well 24man it instead.

After a few more days, we now think mage DPS is low. We want to keep parity among mage specs so the buffs will likely be fairly passive.
I'm not sure what they are smoking, but I guess they mean to implement a modest buff.
"The intent is before the raid reset / heroics unlock."
Which would mean just about .. now!

Since Horridon and council are nerfed and mages got buffed, there's now hunter petitions to flood blizzard with the cries of whining little bitches to get us buffed. As it works for noobies and mages (same thing)
