So my PC is getting a bit (incredibly) slow, and is struggling to play a lot of games, so I'm looking at spending my third term's student loan on a new one and going hungry for a month (joking about going hungry, i'll just make the missus buy all the food)...

I was going to build one myself, but my IRL friend who actually knows shit about computers has gone AWOL...

I found this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151263085703? ... 9#viTabs_0 , and wanted some people who knew what they were talking about to say whether it's half decent or not (and I was willing to pay up to about £800... how much would this one be worth, if it's good enough to run all the modern stuff like it claims to...)

Thanks
Bella aka computer noob

Well i just put that ebay build into Scan.co.uk and it came out at £1600: https://secure.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Shop/S ... ketDetails

He sold one previously in Febuary for £1200: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/2012footprint ... Complete=1

which i can't believe he can have made any money on.

BTW the PC will literally run every game you can throw at it, it could also probably mine doge coins at a decent rate whilst doing it :) If you could pick that up for anywhere near £800 it would be an absolute bargain, you could literally strip it down, resell the parts indivdually and make a profit.

If you want a decent pre-built system these guys come highly reccomended: http://www.cclonline.com/category/202/D ... t/1175003/

Cheers... TBH i'd rather chuck an extra £200 or so and future proof a bit more, i'll just have to borrow it from mother for a bit... that's assuming it doesn't shoot up in the next few days... which it probably will...

I would expect that computer to sell for a lot more than it is currently.

Also how much quality and longevity would I be giving up with something cheaper such as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331162803405? ... EBIDX%3AIT ?

I wouldn't buy that, it looks shit. Generally i'd advise staying way from 2nd hand pc's unless you know what you're buying.
